Description: This dataset represents the geographic boundaries of Albemarle County's Comprehensive Plan Areas. In 1986 the City of Charlottesville, County of Albemarle, and UVA agreed to coordinate planning efforts in Area "B," which includes land lying "at the boundaries of or between the University and either the City or County and on which the activities of any or all three of the parties might have an effect (p. 1 of the Agreement)." A number of studies have been completed over the years, and in fact the current project updates an earlier study of the same area, completed in 1988.
